BH Cosmetics Smokey Eye Palette

BH Cosmetics has some really neat products! I was given the opportunity to check out their Smokey Eye Palette. It contains so many colors and combinations, I didn't know where to start! I had fun creating all kinds of looks!

What I most love about Bh Cosmetic's Smokey Eye Palette is how bold the colors are! These are not your low qualify eyeshadows that need to be caked on to get the deep color you desire. What is also great is it stays in place all day, doesn't flake off and I didn't get a crease line.

The collection has so many matte and shimmery colors to choose from to create a ton of beautiful looks. Kick your beauty routine into high gear with the BH Cosmetics Smokey Eye Palette!

BH Cosmetics features a huge assortment of makeup products. From eyeshadows to blush to lip gloss and brushes.

I found that the 28 color Smokey Eye Palette was a great value and I was seriously surprised by it's size! It is as large as my hand (and trust me when I say, I have some big hands!)

Take a peek at all the colors included:

I also love how the palette has some unique colors that are hard to find like red!

This is one eyeshadow palette you and your glam gals are sure to love! I know this eyeshadow addict did!

You can follow BH Cosmetics on twitter and Facebook to stay tuned to all their awesome deals on already low prices! Also, check out thier YouTube channel for awesome makeup tutorials!

Julep Maven box!

Have you heard of Julep yet? Julep is a subscription month-to-month beauty box!

There are a couple different subscriptions that are available. What is fun, is, you can take a quiz to see which one fits you best!

I chose to review the BOHO Glam Maven box!

Inside I got two awesome nail colors, a set of toe separators, a welcome message, some awesome Pedi creme ("the best Pedi Creme ever") and some tips! It was all wrapped up in a box and a bow!

This would make a wonderful gift for any girly-girl in your life!

Let's take a peek inside my BOHO Glam Maven box:

I love the two nail colors I received! The pictures don't do them justice.

The first color was "Hayden", a bold and bright neon peach

The second color is "Courteney", a key-lime green

I was very impressed by both the color and constancy of the nail colors. I love how bright they were! Perfect for summer open toes. I also loved that they were a thick, quality formula. One of my biggest pet peeves with nail polish is the formulas that require you to put several top coats on before you achieve the color you desire. Julep Nail Vernis nail colors are not like that at all! One coat and I was done!

I also got "The Best Pedi Creme Ever!" The formula smells wonderful and clean. It is thick and glides on smooth with no greasy feeling after. I actually noticed a difference in my foot's softness after just a couple nightly applications. I love this stuff, as I believe it is the best Pedi Creme ever!

You can get all of this, and it changes monthly, for $19.99. Each box includes over $40 worth of stuff! What great savings! Plus you are able to get free shipping on all orders, enjoy 20%off items in the boutique and a wonderful referral program!

What is even more AMAZING is if you are a Saved By Grace reader you can get your first box for a SINGLE PENNY (1 CENT! is she for real?!) and free shipping and you can cancel at any time! Just go to Julep use promo code MAVENINTRO

My adventure with glasses

I remember the first time I found out I was going to need glasses. I was in the 3rd grade. Can you believe I was excited? I was glad it would make me unique from my classmates as no one wore glasses.

And I wore some pretty big glasses. Give me a break. This was the Early 90's!

I have had a love/hate relationship with glasses. I think this is because I never really knew as a kid how to pick the right ones for my face. I just picked a color I liked and went with it.

As an adult, I wear glasses daily. Contacts are too expensive for my prescription and they dry out my eyes. I have tried a lot of them and none of them are comfortable.

I have learned that the square frames tend to look good on me (at least I think so!) and I feel confident in them now-most of the time.

Glasses have to be a part of my life. Without them, I am legally blind. You know that big "E" on the top of eye charts? It's a blob to me.

Speaking of finding the right frames, there are many eye wear stores online these days. Nothing like it was when I was a kid and there was no Internet (Did I just admit my age?!). One place I have found is GlassesUSA.com

They have a nifty tool called the "Virtual Mirror" That allows you to try on their eyeglasses so you can be sure they will look right when you get them in the mail!

GlassesUSA.com offers a wonderful deal on their prescription eyeglasses for my readers! To get 10% off your order on one pair, use the code blog10 and to take advantage of their awesome BOGO (buy one, get one) sale just use the code BOGOUSA!

It is easy to order glasses and even fun with the Virtual Mirror feature. GlassesUSA offers a wonderful 110% guarantee of the lowest price on their frames. There is also a great refer-a-friend program and a 100% satisfaction guarantee. What do you have to lose besides poor sight? :)

Epsom Salt is a wonder mineral!

God made some awesome things, I tell ya. (duh!)

Magnesium Sulfate, also known as Epsom Salt is so useful for both humans and plants.

I have been using Epsom salt in my houseplants for years as a fetilizer. It really does help them grow well. My houseplants grow strong (almost too strong!) and healthy by simply adding 2 tbsp of Epsom Salt per gallon of warm water and using the mixture to water my plants once a month.

Did you know you can volumize your hair with Epsom Salt?

~It's Easy! Just combine warmed conditioner of your choice and an equal part of Epsom Salt and leave in hair for 20 minuets and rinse out.

~Try dipping your sore dry feet with this soak:

~Mix 1/2 cup Epsom Salt in a small tub of warm water and soak your feet. The soak with soften calluses and sooth tired feet.

~This summer, treat those stings and misquito bites with Epsom Salt. It will relieve itching and swelling! Make a cold compress by soaking a washcloth in water that has had 2 tbsp per cup of water disolved in it.

~Epsom Salt is great for all your summer gardening!
You can use the Epsom Salt to fetilize your veggies and lawn even!

Who knew that something so natural and versitle and low cost could be so useful!?

I want to say thanks to the Epsom Salt Council for providing me with all this wonderful info on Epsom Salt and the free samples of Epsom Salt. Make sure you follow them on Facebook for more uses for this wonder mineral!

Cleopatra's Choice African Black Soap review and GIVEAWAY!

Do you have acne or other skin problems? I know I do. STILL! Even at 30 years old.

Along with my somewhat adolescent acne issues, I now have other skin problems to deal with such as suddenly sensitive skin and these weird bumps on my legs and arms.

I was happy to learn that African Black Soap from Cleopatra's Choice has to potential to help me with those problems.

I tried the soap with perfect acne timing. My face had done it's usual cycle of having a big acne breakout like it does every couple months. I tried the soap to see if it would help clear it up and to my surprise it helped a lot! The heal time for my acne was much quicker!

I was going to take a picture of this cluster of acne I had going on here, but I was too embarrassed. They were the kind that look like an alien were going to pop out.

But I did want to show you how nicely it cleared it up after only 3 days!

(My pores are HUGE!)

I liked how the African Black Soap also left my sensitive skin feeling softer and not dried out. It did not irritate it in any way.

I have not seen any disappearance of the bumps I have on my legs and arms, but they have been there a while so I suspect I may have to use it a bit longer.

The only negative I could find with the African Black Soap was the scent. It was not something I would have preferred although if you are into it, it smells earthy.

Cleopatra's Choice sells way more than just the African Black soap (which by the way is imported under Fair Trade practices from Ghana, Africa).  They sell Hair Products, mineral makeup, fragrances and even products for men.

What's more, they have an awesome customer service program! You get THREE free samples with every order,THREE month no-risk money back return policy (even shipping!) and fast shipping and delivery. I got my order quickly.

If you are also concerned, they DO NOT test on animals.

Cleopatra's Choice is offering my readers a chance to not only win the African Black Soap that I tried but also 2 more products for FREE! One reader of my blog will win a set worth $50 that will include:

~ African Black Soap

~ Essential Oil Blend in 'Calming'

~ Dead Sea Hand Cream

Braquel's Bathroom! Can you say YUMMY?

I love a good smelling beauty product. Especially one that makes me hungry and is Vegan. I am not a vegan myself, but I prefer vegan products over ones with animal products since there is really no need to have animal products in personal care items.

Let me introduce you to Braquel's Bathroom!

Not only are the products hand-made, but they are super yummy smelling. Some of them I had never heard of for beauty products such as Chai tea scent, Blue Sugar and Dutch Apple.

I tried 4 products. Tyra was super generous and friendly to work with!

First, I tried the Chai Tea Whipped Body Cleanser. I love Chai tea to drink and this smelled just like it. I loved how the cleanser worked into a smooth lather quickly and it is super concentrated so you don't need much. It is priced at $6.50

Second, I tried the Creme Brulee Cold Process Soap. I have to admit, for some strange reason, I wanted to take a bite out of it! It looked like a slab of fudge! I loved how there was a touch of glitter on the top part! Awesome touch! I did notice that it doesn't later as well as the Whipped Cleansers, but with a loofah or pouf, it works better. It is priced at $5.50

Third, I tried the Zucchini Bread Whipped Body Cleanser. This was my favorite by far! It smelled like a bakery as soon as I opened it and made my whole bathroom smell just as delightful. It is priced at $6.50

Finally, I have been using the Sugared Strawberry Lip Balm for a few days now and I love how it has improved my lips' texture and smoothness. It glides on easily and stays for a while with no greasy feeling. It is priced at $3.50

All the soap products I tried left my skin feeling clean, moisturized and no film left behind.

See how happy I am?

Braquel's Bathroom makes other products besides the ones I had the pleasure of trying. They also make bar soap, bath bombs, body butter cream, shampoo and conditioner and a plethora of products that have unisex scents. (great Father's Day Gifts! hint hint!) There is even a BEER scented soap!

What is most excellent, is, Braquel's Bathroom has given my readers a 15% discount for the next 21 days! Hurry and snag your discount on these already wonderfully priced items and surround yourself in luxury by entering the code SBGBLOG15

Make sure you check out the Sale and Clearance products! (Please note, the discount code CAN apply to on clearance Items! What a great deal!)

AbbaMart: a great beauty supply store!

I am always looking for new ways to look put together and make-up products that help me in that area.

Abbamart is a beauty supply company that offers make-up accessories like brushes, sponges, poufs, tweezers, eyelash curlers and nail care.

They offer hair brushes and skin care as well! Its a great online beauty supply company that anyone can afford with a great selection.

Abbamart has awesome LOW prices!

They offer a make-up line as well, Belleme.

I was given the opportunity to review the Belleme Believe It Powder 'Pact in Nude Beige. I believe it may be a bit dark for me at this time because the sun hasn't really hit Montana yet, but it will definitely be my summer shade. The Belleme Believe It Powder 'Pact is priced at $9.95.

It glides on super smooth and feels weightless. I love how it makes my skin appear very smooth and soft. You cannot beat the coverage either. It was a perfect time to test it because I am dealing with a breakout. (will they ever stop? For crying out loud I am so not a teenager anymore!)

I was amazed by the coverage of my uneven skin and breakouts.

The Belleme Believe It Powder 'Pact comes with an applicator for easy application and even coverage. I also loved how it comes with a guard to protect your powder.

I was also given a chance to review and try out two brushes from Abbamart.

I used the Light Finishing Fan Brush. I loved the way it felt on my skin and the way it applies the Belleme powder is excellent.

I also tried the Blunt Buffing Brush. It is made of Goat hair and super great for applying brush and powder.

Abbamart is offering my readers a 10% discount on their products! Just follow this Link to Abbamart to get your discount on their already very low prices!

En Rouge is customizing your eye color!

I was so excited when I was given the opportunity to test out En Rouge make-up. Before I had even gotten my make up from them, I skipped on over to their website to browse.

I was impressed by how high of quality the makeup looked! I am a make-up brush addict and they have tons to choose from!

I was sent a custom eye kit that is made just for my eye color! I have blue eyes and have been told that browns are wonderful and I use them often so I was thrilled when this kit came with everything I would need to create my beautiful and eye-popping look!

The kit features a 5 color eyeshadow set, brown liquid liner, black mascara and a flat squirrel brush.

I LOVE the colors in the eyeshadow kit:

What is also great is the eyeshadow is paraben free and mineral based. They are also long lasting and the colors are rich.

I love liquid eyeliner but I admit, I don't have enough practice with it, but I like how the color in the kit makes my eyes pop! It is water-proof as well.

The mascara is non-flaking and water-resistant. It is great for those that wear contacts like myself and those with sensitive eyes.

I could not stop touching the brush! It is so soft to the touch and holds the powder well for even coverage.

All these products together would cost over $80 (ARV $83.50) but the kit is sold together for a great price of $65.50. That's a savings of $18!

The kit comes packed in a tin box with paper gift confetti. This would make an awesome gift! I know I was so happy to get it I actually giggled with joy ;)

These kits are not just for those with blue eyes either. They have one for each of the common eye colors; blue, hazel/green and brown!

Take a look at my eyes and how they pop! I love that the color enhances them, but is not too bold. This is a great day look!

First, myself before applying:

Next after just the eyeshadow:

I applied all 5 colors in layers. Here is my eyes closed to give you a better idea:

And here is my final look with the eye liner and mascara added. This looks great with or without my dreaded glasses!

En Rouge has been generous enough to give my readers a chance to win a Basic Eye Kit for their eye color right here on Saved By Grace! Please join me on May 18th for the "Oh! So Pretty!" giveaway hop right here on my blog for your chance to win!

MARK. by Avon touch & glow Review and Giveaway!

I love eyeshadow, and I love make-up! This wonderful cream palette is an all-in-one!

I was given the opportunity to review this great product by MARK. representative Anika Haynes. She was very friendly, fun and upbeat. She is also very knowledgeable about the products and eager to answer any questions you may have about Mark.

The touch & glow is an all over shimmer, but since it is a cream, I found that it doubles great as a smooth eyeshadow. I love the way it glides on smooth. It is flawless as an eyeshadow.

At first look, it appears to be a powder, but it is such a creamy consistency.

I applied it to my face as an all over shimmer, but I really prefer it as an eyeshadow. There are nine wonderful shades that match just about anything and work with all skin tones.

The cream to powder formula is not sticky or heavy feeling. It was near 85 degrees today and I didn't get any "melting".

The touch & glow shimmer cream cubes palette can be bought for just $16.00 on Anika's MARK. store online or you can win it right here on Saved By Grace!

Eyebrows, the easy way!

I get asked all the time how to do my eyebrows.

Truth be told, I don't really have eyebrows. (lol) I just fill in what I have with an eyebrow liner and powder.

To start, you will need tweezers, powder in your brow color and an eye liner or brow pencil in same color, and a clean face.

Here is me pre-eyebrows. You can see why I do my eyebrows :)

It should be noted as well that I wear glasses, so I do my brows a bit bolder and thicker because of this. You can adjust your look to what fits your face.

Take the liner and line your eyebrows lightly to what you want the shape to be.

Don't worry about hairs that are stray at this point. We will get to them later.

Now, take your brow powder and start to fill in with an angled brow brush. I happened to have lost mine, so I am stuck using a lip brush for now. A brow brush really does work more effectively, though.

When you are done filling in, it should look similar to this:

Now you can tackle those strays. Just pluck whatever doesn't fit into your ideal brow shape. Don't over pluck. You don't want to take them all off! When you are done, take a brow comb and comb them neatly into place :)

To finish off, I put eyeliner and eye shadow on.

Here is me with my finished look without glasses and with:

Hope you found my tutorial helpful :) I was always afraid to play around with my eyebrows, then just went ahead and did it one day and I think it does so much for my face now!
