Today is not National BBQ day though. Don't forget the men and women who have fought for our freedom here in America.
When I think of all the brave souls who gave their lives so I could be free in this country, my throat gets a lump in it.
Little known fact: I joined the military straight out of high school. I didn't stay in and got out before my basic training was over. It is so hard to be in the military. I admit, I couldn't cut it.
I am so grateful for those that could make the cut though. Without them, I am sure my life would be hugely different here.
So, today, while I am about to leave and go have a picnic under the cloudy skies here in Montana, I want to thank those that helped give me that freedom.
